Besides natural and artificial trees, what other options are out there that can be low-cost?
Well, today I might have a good answer to that! I’m going to try to do an ecological Christmas tree with some natural pine cones!
If you did read my previous post, I used some of these marvelous seeds as part of a shelf display. Since it turned out to look so nice, I decided on using them as part of a Christmas tree. All you will need for this project are some pine cones, a beautifull vase, styrofoam in the form of cone, and a hot glue gun; yeap, that’s about it!

First of all, I put my foam inside the base to see where exactly do i needed to start gluing. I organized the pine cones from the biggest to the smallest, that way at the end the cone will take the form of a tree.

After that I just continued gluing up to the top of the cone. Don’t worry about the small white spaces were the foam can be seeing because you can either used the little seeds that fall from the cones to fill these spaces, or also used smaller cones and pieces of cinnamon.
At the end you will end up with a beautiful work of art with a great smell too.
As always, I advise you to try different options. I would have loved to try instead of pine cones some old Christmas balls and instead of cinnamon, some anise seeds. Everything is possible!
Here I will post some great ideas that are very out of the box for Christmas trees. Hope you like it, if so, let me know.
