I'm so honored to be part of the HomeGoods Entushiast Pinterest board where, as a blogger, I've received compensation by HomeGoods. The opinions stated here are my own. For more updates on their products and decor ideas, you can always follow them on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.
As the next season quickly approaches, the need for a subtle decor is mandatory. As some of you might have previously read, I recently shared a navy blue master bedroom a couple of weeks ago. But now I think this color is slowly taking over our living room as well (and it might, or might not be showing up soon in our patio).
What I admire the most about this type of blue is how fresh it feels when used with the right accessories and how it can add just the right touch of elegance without going overboard. Navy is also a great transitional color when going from spring to summer.
Another great alternative to shake off those neutrals is by changing the curtains. These pair of navy panels, which include a blackout, are the perfect addition to this room and they provide enough coverage without blocking the natural light that I love so much.
You can always stop here if you feel that your neutral inner voice is starting to feel uneasy. But, I took a step further and went crazy over the new floating shelves. I've previously decorated them for a post I did for the Design Happy Blog from HomeGoods, but this time around navy is taking over the spotlight.
