Small details always make a big difference when decorating a space. In our patio makeover we needed a soft illumination late night gatherings. I already had some hooks for plants so what I really wanted was something I could hang and that didn’t have to be plugged to an outlet.
I found from BHG at Walmart these candle holders with a cute rope for hanging. These small jars with a beachy look and feel were the perfect small detail I needed for the patio.
Because I wanted a soft illumination, I opted for small battery operated candles (you can find similar ones here). To add more interest to the candle holders, I placed pieces of driftwood inside; but sand can be also a great option.
I love how versatile these candle holders are. I can also pour some water and put flowers on them, but also prepare them with fabric napkins and a basic silverware for a personalized patio dinner. Don’t you just love how simple yet beautiful these look? What would you used them for?
I’m having a great giveaway of a $100 Walmart gift card from the wonderful people of BHG at Walmart. Just leave a comment and I will randomly select one lucky winner on May 8, 2015 (winners must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years old). Good luck!

May 7, 2015 at 4:01 amThose candles are so pretty lit at night! Your patio is beautiful. We love spending as much time as we can outdoors in the summer and love to have our dinner out on our patio. These candles would be a nice addition to add that soft glow. Thank you for the opportunity on your giveaway!

May 7, 2015 at 4:01 amThese are so beautiful! We have a deck where we need to add some lighting or pizzaz, but I haven't come up with much of a plan yet. I think I will start with seating, then go to lighting, then hit up accessories!
