This year there are many more reasons than usual for my family and I to be grateful. After facing both hurricanes Irma and Maria, my family is still strong and well; and this enough is a big reason for us to celebrate like never before Thanksgiving Day. I’m already getting ready to receive them at home and preparing my table setting ideas for this big day.
As many of you might already know, I like to keep things simple when I’m decorating. Using neutrals is always my way to go and also incorporating greens whenever I can. This year I opted for the color green which is the color of nature, it represents hope and harmony; and it couldn’t be more perfect for this table.
Having chosen the main color for this year’s Thanksgiving table décor, I started by searching for the perfect dinner plate. I have to confess that I fell in love with the Astor Salad and Dinner Plate from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart because not just its color, but also its amazing handcrafted and rustic look. To combine this beautiful duo, I used Wood Chargers also from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart.
Another fun piece I found from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart were these Pumpkin Lidded Soup Bowls which I know my family will love.
I kept the rest simple by creating a Eucalyptus garland for the centerpiece and adding some small white pumpkins and old brass taper candle holder that I’ve collected through the years.
I decided on mixing things around just to get an additional option, and exchange the chargers and flatware. This small creamer from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart now serves as a beautiful vessel to bring in a warmer fall color with flowers. I also added a menu holder to bring in a whimsy detail. Instead of a wood charger, I opted for a more informal and farm inspired galvanized charger and used the same material on my napkin rings.

I love both options, but at the end I think I might end with the first option. Which was your favorite detail on these table settings?
