Make them feel at home these Holidays

I’m so honored to be part of the BHG Live Better Network where, as a blogger, I’ve received compensation by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. The opinions stated in “Make them feel at home these Holidays”are my own. For more updates on their products and decor ideas, you can always follow them on FacebookPinterestTwitter and Instagram.

Expecting company through the Holidays? Make them feel at home during their stay. While the season can bring some stress, staying ahead of the game by preparing key areas in your home, can bring a peace-of-mind. And let’s not forget, a lot of  “wow, your house looks amazing!”.

I like to set common areas like the entryway, living and dinning room by adding a special element. That way I’ll make sure that my guests will get that warm and home feeling.

Entryway

Some of my best memories seemed to be bound to certain tastes and fragrances. On my entryway I’ve some Crisps Fall Leaves wax cubes from Better Homes & Gardens. The White Church Scene wax warmer also from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart adds a beautiful glow to this area.

Living Room

The first area that my guests will be greeted into is the living room. Here I’ve set for them a simple coffee table vignette with some beautiful elements (how amazing is this Deer Pillar Candle Holder) that speak of the season. The Nola Coffee Table from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart is the perfect size for our living room. I’ve also placed inside a basket under the coffee table some throws for those cooler nights. I know both the Metallic Woven and  Woven Fringe Throws (both from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart) will keep my guests cozy and warm.

A dinning room to make them feel at home

Setting the table is my favorite part to decorate. This time around I’ve kept things simple by using the Ashmoor Dinnerware Set from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. Because of its neutral color and handcrafted look, this set goes with almost any decor. Under the dinner plates you’ll find the Acacia Wood Bark Chargers and I’m using the Alder Rose Gold 20-Piece Flatware Set both from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart.

Over our sideboard (you can see how we created this one here) I’ve set a snack and sweet station with some beautiful serving pieces from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. Here I’m using the Porcelain Square Chip & Dip with Metal RackPorcelain 3-Tiered Rectangular Server with Metal RackPorcelain 3 Bowl Condiment Tray with Metal Rack and the Porcelain Handled Cheese Platter.

My favorite part in this area is the Better Homes & Gardens Fitzgerald Serving Cart because of it’s size and soft gold color. I’ve already set my Copper Hammered Mule Mug on the bar cart to serve my guests some Apple Cider Moscow Mules, yum!

Making my guests feel at home just takes a bit of effort an a lot love. Did I say it also take some hot chocolate!!!

If you’re wondering if this amazing copper tray and cappuccino cups are from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart; I have to say, YES they are!!!

Are you having guests over during the Holidays?  How do you make them feel at home?
