Bringing happiness into a little girls’ bedroom

I’m so honored to be part of the BHG Live Better Influencer Network where, as a blogger, I’ve received compensation by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. The opinions stated in “Bringing happiness into a little girls’ bedroom” are my own. For more updates on their products and decor ideas, you can always follow them on FacebookPinterestTwitter and Instagram.

One of the things that I enjoy the most about my career as an interior decorator is bringing a feeling into spaces. A room can provide you with a calm and relaxing feeling, but a change in color or even accessories, and that pleasant emotion can turned into a chaotic one. Bringing happiness into a little girls’ bedroom seems like an easy task. And to accomplish this mission, I’ve found some elements that brought smiles and giggles into those tiny faces.

No library card needed

The little princesses, owners of this space, had a huge collection of books. For awhile, a wall bookcase served it’s purpose of containing preschool books in order. But as they kept on growing and getting smarter, more books were added to their collection. Because they needed more space, the original bookcase was replaced by the Better Homes & Gardens 9-Cube Storage Organizer. The measurements of this piece of furniture were perfect for this corner and the extra room was so appreciated. Because it is raised from the floor with a metal frame, it makes cleaning underneath a breath. Now they can have a mini library within arm’s reach.

Three Better Homes & Gardens Wood Decor Crates were painted and added to this storage organizer. These are perfect to hide craft materials and coloring books.

The perfect bed for a princess

A while ago I found the perfect beds for these girls. The Better Homes & Gardens Kids Panama Beach Twin Captain’s Bed with Trundle is ideal for this space plus it has three drawers for additional storage.

Dressing these beds has brought many styles into the bedroom’s decor. But for this new room refresh my eldest daughter wanted something more “très chic”.  While there were some incredible options from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart, we both fell in love with the Better Homes & Gardens Kids Paris Street Bedding Comforter Set.

This set had the perfect light tones and a juvenile design she wanted. The bow pillow it came with was so cute!

I also added the Better Homes & Gardens Sleeping Star Pillow and the 18″x18″ Love Sequin Decorative Pillow for more interest. Needless to say that the star pillow won over their hearts!

A new take on stripes

Raise your hand if you love cotton sheets! They feel so natural and with time, so soft. I found the Better Homes & Gardens Kids Stripe 100% Cotton Sheet Set at Walmart and the purple color mixes so beautifully with the Paris Street Bedding Comforter Set. While these were no “matchy-matchy”, they added an interesting level of pattern to these beds.

Every girl needs a castle

… specially the little ones! And for their bed I found this amazing Better Homes & Gardens Kids Figural Cascading Castle Canopy at Walmart to make their dreams more beautiful… well, maybe not, but for sure they’ll want to get earlier to bed. Isn’t that magical enough?

As you can see every little detail in this room works in favor of bringing happiness into a little girls’ bedroom. And of course, if they are happy and giggling, I’m a happy camper myself. What room makes you happy?

Thanks Debbie and indeed they are happy. Although, there’s a friendly discussion nightly about who gets to sleep under the canopy! 😂
