I’m so honored to be part of the BHG Live Better Influencer Network where, as a blogger, I’ve received compensation by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart. The opinions stated in Family entertainment on a casual Sunday are my own. For more updates on their products and decor ideas, you can always follow them on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.
After a long week of running back and forth with work, mom chores and all that’s in between; my family and I like to take things at a slower pace during the weekends. We love to hang outside in our patio when weather allows, and keep the kids busy and away from all the electronic devices. Family entertainment on a casual Sunday has been our ritual lately. After a full breakfast, we head out and try to fill the day with activities such as silly chalk doodles on the floor, bubble battles and lots of painting and drawing.
Keep the food light
On Sundays we keep food light. No one likes to be working all day in the kitchen. So after setting a simple table outside, we get put some hotdogs in the grill and keep the rest fresh and cool. A little bit of sweets never hurt a soul, so cheers so cupcakes!
Refreshment they will all enjoy
Again, the word of the game is simple! I prepped up some cute Better Homes & Gardens Galvanized (7 Piece) Mason Jars (caddy included) with water and a slice of lemon. Having these ready will keep everyone cool during this hot Miami weather.
Another beverage I like to keep at hand is tea. It is also a fresh alternative and the kids love it! For easy pouring I love to serve it on my Better Homes & Gardens (2 Gallon) Square Glass Drink Dispenser on top of the Better Homes & Gardens Galvanized Steel Square Beverage Dispenser Stand. This last piece can also be used a an ice bucket; such a great deal!
Melamine never looked so pretty
Casual Sundays don’t need to be boring. Using pretty dishes will keep the atmosphere fun and interesting. And today I’ll be using the Better Homes & Gardens Floral Melamine Dinner Plate (4 Pack) to bring a Spring vibe into this table setting.
Caddies with purpose
If you’ve been following me on Instagram you know already know that we recently went to pick up some fresh Florida peaches in Saint Cloud. We look forward to this event once a year on April and always bring back home a lot of this delicious fruit. We usually love making cobblers or pies, but today I kept some in the Better Homes & Gardens Galvanized Serve Caddy. The girls love them and is a sweet alternative to candy.
To keep the girls busy, I packed the Better Homes & Gardens Galvanized Caddy with some markers, pencils, and watercolor. Having these art materials in this caddy will allow them to move around the patio with their creative tools.
